Getting Started

I have spent some time with the BYU Honors Chemistry course and I am quite pleased. I think it is really well done.

Here's what you need to do to sign up for the class:

Google "BYU Independent Study"
Select "High School Online Course Catalog"
Search for "chemistry" Select "Honors Chemistry, Part 1: Chem 061"
It will give you the option to choose either "Paper" or "Online"--choose "Online"
 Add to cart.
You may choose the option of adding a paper course. This is not necessary. If you want to be able to read the lectures in paper form, you can add this for an additional ten dollars.
 Purchase the course.
If you do not already have one, you will need to set up a BYU Id.

I will be setting a schedule in the next week or so.  We will need to get started right away as there are ten lessons, a midterm, and a final.  The tests have to be proctored at USU and we have to allow some time (a week or so) for them to get here.  Summer is twelve weeks long--so we don't have a lot of wiggle room if we're going to be done before school starts.

Call or email me if you have questions.  801-232-2048 or srstaker@me.com

Thanks,

Shannon
